Last January 21, 2008, the Tropical Disease Foundation Project located right across Makati Medical Center held their Topping-Off Ceremony. The event was organized by Metro Stonerich Corporation being the General Contractor of the Project.
Present during the occasion were the Foundation;’s principal benefactors, contributors, board members and officers like Ambassador Bienvenido Tan, Mr. Angelo King, Dra. Thelma Tupasi and other seniors who bravely and untiringly climbed the makeshift stairs leading to the roof deck to be a part of the ceremonial topping.
Also present to show their support to the Foundation were MSC’s President, Mr. Bong Nuño; EVP-COO, Mr. Eliseo Aurellado (who gave the welcome remarks) & VP for Operations, Mr. Jun Villanueva.
Other special guests that day were PRADCI’s Arch. Yugi Antonio who represented his father Arch. Pablo Antonior Jr., designer of the building and member of the TDF Board of Trustees; Engr. Conrado C. Orata of CCOAMC, the projects construction manager and all the principals of the other trade contractors involved in the project. The program was hosted by Arch. Jason R. Sevilla.
On January 30, 2005, topping-off ceremony was also held at One Tagaytay Place in Brgy. Sungay, Tagaytay City. First part of the event was the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Afterwards a simple topping-off ceremony was done together with the officers and board members of Atlantica Realty Corporation the Developer of the project. Gracing the event were the architect, designer and construction manager of the project; Mr. Ely A. Aurellado and Engr. Rene Fabros of MSC; and other trade contractors.
As a sign of thanksgiving, a buffet was served for all the guests and workers who worked hard for the project.
